Definition of Blog :

Blog is an online personal diary (sometimes a small group of people) published for an informational purpose or to sought out for a public review through the medium of discussion in comments.

The expression 'Blog' is actually derived from two different terms ‘Web' & 'Log’.

Generally each article/entries in the web-log or blog is called as a post which are displayed in reverse chronological order, so to have the most recent post at the top of the web-page.

A Brief History of Blogging :

At the initial phase of development of Internet it was one sided information mass communication tool.
Modern blogs were evolved from 1994, when the online diary concept gained popularity, where people would keep a record of experiences from their daily life.

Justin hall is regarded as the pioneer amongst personal bloggers. His website Links.net it still active today. He had started blogging in 1994 has a student of Swarthmore college in Pennsylvania. In December 2004 New York Times magazine regarded him as the "founding father of personal blogging".

Blogs became more popular since 2001 due to the emergence of political blog in America. Later on micro-blogging sites such as Twitter, tumblr, friendfeed gain much audience and showed a new face of blogging.

The Art of Blogging :

Blog is an self-discovery.

For me, blogging was self-realisation. From my childhood I used loved money, ways to make money, alleviate poverty, financial equality, getting to know more about the billionaires & what is their driving force in achieving such a feat. When I started college I was totally obsessed with the term “financial freedom”. I grasped all the knowledge I could and now I love to share them amongst you all.

Discovering what we love and passionate about, is the main problem that this era faces. Once we are self aware we love, and have gained my experience and knowledge; then share to everyone out there trying to figure out the same question. So blogging is an art of Self-Discovery.

The art of blogging can be developed by following steps below :

1. Know what you are blogging : This is the most difficult part of blogging, understanding what you want to blog; as in initial phase only sheer hard-work can only be put up, if you have dedication and you are in love with the topic.

Blogging is an art of racing own voice for something you feel you are right. Raise your voice and watch how the world response to it. Even an average person like you and me can raise our voices and we able to be reached to a global audience without much pain. You can easily share your hobbies interests or shows your expertise in front the world.

2. Know what is in your Reader's mind : Blogging is actually building up the community of people with like-mindedness and with same passion. Passionate readers are your greatest assets in blogosphere. So whenever audience urges to pick up a topic go with it

3. Build yourself/Organise yourself : If you want to create a community of readers dedicated to your blog then you must post a regularly. You must also build yourself with experimenting various strategies and getting to know new aspects and inches of your field.

4. Have Fun Blogging : Live each moment. Dive into the passion and loot all the fun.
Never be tensed and never give up on your passion, if you ever feel demotivated or depressed blogging, take a break, listen to some music, freshen up and again engage with all the positive vibes.

After all your article or post show your feelings and you don't want your audience to get depressed.

Blogging : A Source of Passive Income :

People often associate making money from passion has a brute business but I would suggest them to read the quote below aloud;
"Time is Money says the proverb, but turn it around and You get a precious truth Money is Time."                                                                                                     - George Gissing
Blog Now

Setting up any particular topic blog takes months or even years. Even when you are a passionate about your blog you need time to research, write, rewrite, edit, develop specific graphics, re-edit it and so on. So why would anyone dedicate so much time from their life without getting anything back?  After all Time is Money.

Blogging has a huge potential in being a passive income source. Article posted once stays there till you wish to take it down gaining attention from the readers. So once an income stream is associated with the post, it will continuously generate income even long after the work is been completed. There are many means to generate income from your blog. Advertising and Affiliate Marketing are the most loved by the bloggers.

Again don't expect to earn in millions of dollars from the first month. I would from my own experience suggest not to host any advertisements for at least 3 to 4 months from starting a blog. The reason is that you will look at the stats of income, day in and day out and will get disappointed and depressed till you drop the idea of blogging.

In the initial phase only try to focus on content, it's quality and building up a good reader base. Even when you have started posting ads after the initial phase don't go overboard with too many ads. This can lead readers to get frustrated and bounce back within no time.

When work, money, passion are all mixed in an optimal combination you will definitely find a perfect life - cherishing each moment; even when you are stressed out or disappointed at some point.

Conclusion :

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you have planted"                                                                                                                                   - Robert Louis Stevenson
